In a mixed debut season, SSR Performance finished in mid-table. In the final race, Christian Engelhart, an old acquaintance and ADAC GT Masters champion, joined SSR Performance at the start, replacing Laurens Vanthoor in the #92. With the first victory in the DTM, which Dennis Olsen took in the #94, and before that the first ever pole position for Porsche in the DTM, the season ended on a conciliatory note after all.
Stefan Schlund, team owner: "We have worked very hard over the winter. It is definitely a challenge to get a team of this size off the ground. The last few weeks have been very intensive and so I am looking forward to the start of the season. I am very proud of our team and I am excited to see how we will perform with regard to the BoP as well."
Mario Schuhbauer, Team Principal SSR Performance: "Our crew has had a labour-intensive preparation period. Especially after the official tests in Hockenheim, we stepped on the gas again to be able to present ourselves in the best possible light at the season opener in Portimao. The aim is to deliver a performance that is as flawless as possible in order to be able to compete successfully in the strong DTM field."
